Natural cures for low Blood Pressure.

ASK DR. PRESLEY

ANYTHING YOU WANT TO KNOW

WE MEAN...ANYTHING !

Q: My blood pressure is 95 over 60.  What would you recommend I take to bring my blood pressure up to the normal range?

A: Most people have high blood pressure but many people also have low blood pressure, which can be just as bad as high blood pressure.

Frankly, low blood pressure can be dangerous especially in the elderly because if you blood pressure drops too low you can get dizzy and fall. Older people who fall usually break their hips, which is bad news.

Research studies show that elderly people who break their hip usually become disabled and some die within a year of their hip fracture due to complications such as blood clots and infections.

It is very easy to correct low blood pressure.  Just add a little more salt to you diet.  That is it.  As easy as 1-2-3.

People with high blood pressure should reduce or avoid salt in their diet because it raises blood pressure.  However, a little extra salt in the diet is excellent for people with low blood pressure.  So as previously mentioned just start adding a little more salt to your food.

Two super healing herbs, Licorice and Ginseng will also help to raise your blood pressure.  Take both as directed on label.  Continue monitoring your blood pressure.  As soon as your blood pressure is at the normal range, discontinue taking these herbs.  For your information, a normal blood pressure range is 120 over 80 or a little below; 115 or 117 over 70 or 79 is also normal.

To keep your blood vessels nice and clean and your heart healthy also take Omega 3-Fish Oil, 2 capsules daily with breakfast or dinner.  It also wouldn’t hurt to take Co-Q10, 100mg daily with food to help protect your heart, brain and kidneys as well as to boost your energy levels.  Because Co-Q10 increases energy levels, it is best taken with breakfast or lunch.  While you are at it throw in a good multi-vitamin, (without iron).  If you follow this protocol, your blood pressure should be back to normal in no time.

Children needs Calcium too.

Q: I was told that I should give my children calcium.  Why do children need to get calcium and what is the right does?

A:  Excellent questions.  Children need calcium and exercise to build healthy strong bones and teeth.  Calcium and exercise are essential for both adults and children to keep osteoporosis and obesity at bay.  According to a new study from the University of Wales and the University of Exeter in England, research indicates that pre-pubescent children should received 700mg to 800mg of calcium (about three, 8-ounce glasses of milk) and perform about 25 to 40 minutes of vigorous activity (such as running, playing tag or jumping rope) every day to grown healthy bones.

In the study, researchers suggested that because at least 90 percent of peak bones mass if formed by the end of adolescence it is important to optimize bone growth in younger years.  Other researchers in the United States emphasize that exercise is more important than calcium in creating dense and healthy bones.  The bottom line, all children (and adults) should take calcium supplements and eat calcium-rich foods for healthy bones, teeth and proper nerve function.

Calcium also helps to relieve insomnia (sleep problems), and helps you to lose weight. Research studies show that calcium helps to burn fat and helps you lose weight.  Studies also show that calcium also helps to prevent colon cancer.

I hope I have given you some good reasons to start including calcium supplements and calcium-rich foods in yours and your child’s diet.
Calcium and exercise are very beneficial for both adults and children.  How much calcium to take?  For girls 12 years or older, 600mg daily with food.  For women, 600mg, two times daily (with breakfast and dinner). For men, 1000mg, daily in divided doses.  The best form of calcium to take is Calcium Citrate, also add to your CalciumVitimin D31000IU, and VitiminK2 45mcg (one capsule) daily with food.

While you are at it also give your child or children a good children’s multi-vitamin (No Flintstones) please too much sugar) plus Vitamin C, 500mg daily with food and 200 mg DHA every morning with breakfast to help improve your child’s IQ and to help them do well in school.  This superstar brain nutrient will help improve their learning and concentration (in plain English, it makes them smart.)
This protocol will help your child or children to stay healthy and maintain proper brain function.  Give it a try.  You will be amazed.
